Annapurna Base Camp Trek in Nepal is a trekking journey into the Himalayan Mountains that blows your mind with the marvels that it houses. Annapurna region lies in the middle of the Himalayas near Pokhara, a beautiful city that is the gateway for Annapurna trekking.
North of the laid-back, lakeside city of Pokhara, the huge mountain massif of the Annapurnas is one of the most popular trekking destinations in Nepal. The highest peak, Annapurna I, was the first 8000 metre peak to be climbed and there are several other summits above 7500 metres in this accessible and magnificent Himalayan range. The circuit of the Annapurna is one of world’s great mountain walks, whilst the trek into the spectacularly enclosed Annapurna Sanctuary provides exposure to the very best of Nepalese culture and landscape.
Annapurna Base Camp (also known as Annapurna Sanctuary or ABC) a snowy valley is one of Nepal’s scenic and adventurous trekking routes. It is a deep glacier, which gives the effect of an amphitheatre surrounded by a ring of impressive high peaks including: Hiun Chuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna l, Ganggapurna, Annapurna III and Machhapuchhre. The trail to this awe-inspiring scene ascends the Annapurna foothills through forested hillsides, where we are given a taste of Nepal’s magical and majestic vistas with a spectacular sunrise over the Annapurnas and Dhaulagiri at Poon Hill. It continues through scattered Gurung settlements, cross terraced fields and abundant forests before climbing gradually into a world of ice and snow at Base Camp, the ‘Sanctuary of the Gods’’. Returning to Pokhara by a different route this trek offers truly fascinating scenery, with a combination of picturesque rice-fields, villages and a panorama of high peaks.
We strongly believe that the “Annapurna Base Camp Trek“ experience will create an amazing memory that will stay with you for a long time.

You should be up to date with routine courses and boosters as recommended in the UK e.g. diphtheria-tetanus-polio and measles-mumps-rubella), along with hepatitis A and typhoid. A certificate of yellow fever vaccination is required if travelling from countries with risk of yellow fever transmission and for travellers having transited for more than 12 hrs through an airport of a country with risk of yellow fever transmission. On holidays to more remote areas you should also have a dentist check up. A good online resource is Travel Health Pro. Dengue fever is a known risk in places visited. It is a tropical viral disease spread by daytime biting mosquitoes. There is currently no vaccine or prophylaxis available and therefore the best form of prevention is to avoid being bitten. We recommend you take precautions to avoid mosquito bites

This holiday involves going to high altitude. During the course of your trip you will be above 4000 metres for 1-2 days. This is not something that you should worry about; the human body is quite capable of adapting to a very wide range of altitudes, but it is important that we follow some simple rules in order to acclimatise successfully. Before coming on this holiday you should get some basic advice on Tours at high altitude.
From mid June to August, we can expect to encounter temperatures as high as 35°C at Katmandu, and 25°C in The mountain Region. Weather is generally good throughout the summer season, with clear skies and little rain or snow. However, weather in mountainous areas is difficult to predict, and short-lived storms can occur at any time.
