Shabbir Hussain began guiding professionally in 1992 on K2- Gandogoro La Trek, and is now Pakistan premier Tour consultant and Senior Mountain Guide. As A Leader, he has personally lead many climbing Expeditions to the Base Camps of k2, Broad Peak, Gsherbrums, Masherbrum, Nanga Parbat and many other Peaks over the last 27 years. Shabbir has also led Trekking groups to the Base Camp on Mount Everest and other peaks n Nepal. Being Born in the Khapulu Village of Karakoram he knows the region inside out. He has Trevlled around the world and has Trekking Experience in the Swiss Alps, Italy, Austria. Brazil, Mexico, Chillie etc. Shabbir also regularly guides many Trekking Tours such as Snow Lake – Hispar La, k2 Concordia & Gandogoro LA, k2 Base Camp, Bike Tours on Karakoram Highway and Air Safaris in the Karakoram Range. In addition, Shabbir is regularly involved with film productions on K2, Documentary Production on Polo and  different features over the last 30 years.

He has spent his entire life  Providing Operational Services and exploring the mountains.

Gertrude Boinay was Born in Switzerland, she grew up Trekking, Cycling and skiing in the mountains of  Switzerland. Her search for fresh snow, Mountains and aesthetic lines has taken her up and down the Himalaya, Karakoram, Europe highest Mountain Ranges and around world. She has spent allot of  time in Pakistan and Nepal Leading Trekking Groups on different Routes. She balances her time spent Trekking in the alps, cycling, running, and practicing  yoga…usually also in the mountains.

Gertrude has visited every Corner of Pakistan, she has the Extensive knowledge and insight around Adventure Travel that you can rely on.

Shahid Hussain

shahid hussain grew up playing and exploring in the Mountains of Karakoram. He started rock climbing at the age of 11 and his passion for exploring Swiss Alps brought him in Europe, where he learnt Rock climbing and Ski from the world best instructors. Shortly after, he found himself leading trips in various mountain Valleys in the Karakoram.

Shahid splits his time between Pakistan and United Kingdom, where he spends his winters in Europe, Marketing & visiting Clients, in the Summer he can be found somewhere on a mountaineering tip in the Karakoram.

12 Day Jeep Safari and beautiful country
I did the 12 Day Jeep Safari. I was the lone customer and had one driver, Sibtain, and one guide, Akber. They were great. Perfectly organized K2 Base Camp trekking tour with Gondogoro La crossing
The organization by Trango Adventures was simply top-notch. Inquiries were answered immediately, and there was assistance with the visa application. Airport pickup, hotel bookings, and the flight to Skardu were perfectly organized. On the trekking tour, we had very good North Face tents and a large dining tent with comfortable chairs. A tent was even set up for lunch so that we didn't have to eat in the blazing midday heat. The entire crew was super friendly, helpful at all times, and concerned about our safety. Big praise! . The food was excellent and varied, very well seasoned, and we had no problems whatsoever with diarrhea, etc. Price-performance ratio was very good. Trango Adventures #1 Company!!
We booked the K2 and Gondogoro La Trek with Trango and it was the best decision we made! We did a private trip with our two teenage girls. Everything ran very smooth, from the initial correspondence with planning the trip, to arriving in Pakistan and during the trek. I can't say enough positive things about the Trango staff who are the most amazing, friendly, welcoming people you will ever meet. By the end of the trek we felt like a family and were so sad to say goodbye to our guide, porters and kitchen staff. They all worked so hard with a smile on their face and love in their heart. The office staff at Trango handled everything with ease and helped with any questions I had. If you are thinking about going to Pakistan I would suggest to stop thinking about it and book your trip. Gasherbrum II expedition
I used Trango Adventure for logistic support during my Gasherbrum II expedition in the summer of 2026 and I was very satisfied. From the planning stage through the expedition itself, the team was professional, responsive and reliable. They were very flexible and willing to tailor the itinerary to my specific preferences and requirements. When my climbing permit was delayed, they quickly arranged an alternative acclimatisation climb on another peak, helping me make the best use of my time and keep the expedition on track. Adventure of a lifetime!
This was so much more of an adventure than I had ever imagined. Done the EBC 3 passes trek a couple of years ago and thought this would be similar or a little bit of a step up - the only difference really would be you are in tents on this trek. Think again! This is no walk along trails between villages on your way to the destination. This is a proper expedition over largely untracked wilderness. Trango used a team of 26 to get us from Skardu back to Skardu 21 days later. Unlike at Everest, everything you need for the next 21 days travels with you - and the team at Trango were brilliant at it. Top marks to Zahid the main leader - he properly cares about what he does!. He kept the team running flawlessly and he couldn’t have done enough for us (a group of 6). The scenery on the trek is truly second to none. This is wild country at its most beautiful and you are left with memories that will not fade - and which will be near to impossible to convey accurately to those who have not experienced it personally. Top marks also to the chef and kitchen crew. Producing the meals that they did with the limited resources you have when you are carrying it around the mountains couldn’t be easy, but we were well fed with an interesting variety of meals. The care shown also by the climbing/high altitude guides was great, even when it meant they were having to carry gear some of us couldn’t handle at times. The only thing you should know is that the pace is quicker than in Nepal, so at altitude get ready to work hard! You will need to prepare before you do this trek. We went in July and were very fortunate with the weather - so I’d recommend this period - but even with this, it gets quite cold at nights. The only heat is your body heat, so good gear is essential. This was probably the biggest difference between this trek and EBC and it can just wear you down. So, I’d only recommend this trip to people who (a) are fit, (b) have done high altitude trekking for a prolonged period before and (c) are up for a proper challenge. Trango Adventures were a great partner to do this through. They know the area well, the service before the trip was great and during the trip was as good as you could want for. They took care of us and allowed us to witness the beauty of the Karakoram. And they do it at reasonable cost. 5 out of 5 as far as I am concerned.

Unforgettable journey across Snow Lake & Hispar La with a family-like team!
My friends and I, the girl group from Thailand, just completed the Snow Lake and Hispar La trek with Trango Adventure this August 2026, and I truly cannot recommend this team highly enough. It was easily the most challenging, breathtaking, and beautiful trek any of us have ever done, and having Trango Adventure by our side made all the difference. From the moment we landed in Islamabad and traveled on to Skardu, everything was handled flawlessly. They welcomed us like family right from the start and showed us around some of the best sights in Skardu before we set off on the mountain trail. Once on the trek, the entire team of 20 men —our main guide, assistant guide, head cook, assistant cook, porter sardar, mule sardar, and every single porter—worked tirelessly to keep us safe, fed, and comfortable. They were warm, trustworthy, and genuinely cared for us every step of the way on a very tough and remote route. All meals were so delicious. What impressed us most, however, was how they handled a major emergency. During the trek, one of our friends suffered a serious injury from a rock fall. The guide and the head office moved instantly, coordinating a swift rescue to get her off the mountain and straight to the hospital. Members of the team stayed right by her side at the hospital until she was safely cleared and referred back home to Thailand. Seeing how much they cared for her safety and well-being was deeply moving—they truly treated her like their own family member. If you are looking for an experienced, reliable, and deeply caring trekking company in Pakistan, look no further than Trango Adventure. K2 base camp trek
I booked to go on a group tour with Trango adventure, Pakistani. The members of my group (10) were great and it was lovely to meet people from all around the world. The staff were amazing right from the start, with the meet & greet, the organizers, the hotel staff, the wonderful guides, porters, cooks and horsemen. I was the slowest in the group, but a member of staff always walked with me and the rest encouraged me on my way, every single day - it was like my goal was theirs. They really fitted around my needs and were so helpful. The trek was hard and long but that’s what you have to pay with to get to see Concordia and K2: your body and soul. I have come back completely invigorated. The campsites were well set up, given the locations and the food was great. The scenery like nowhere on planet Earth! Five 8000 meter basecamp trek
Exceptional organization and an even better team I booked the 5 × 8,000-metre basecamp trek with Trango Adventure, and I can wholeheartedly recommend them. I would absolutely book with them again. From arrival in Pakistan until departure, everything was handled professionally, smoothly and reliably. What impressed me most was not only how well the original itinerary was organized, but how professionally Trango handled unexpected problems. When a landslide closed the road to Fairy Meadows and we had to stay longer in Skardu, they adapted the rest of the itinerary without creating unnecessary stress. This is exactly what you want from an expedition operator: things don't always go according to plan, but you know someone competent is taking care of it. But the real highlight was my expedition team. Every single member was kind, helpful, welcoming and genuinely caring. I never felt like just another client. Over the weeks, we became a real team, and I got to know them personally. We shared plenty of laughs along the way, including some legendary UNO games after long days on the trail. I always felt safe and well looked after, and the team adapted intelligently when circumstances required it. The Karakoram itself was an enormous challenge, but Trango Adventure and their fantastic team made it an unforgettable experience. Wow ! - raw, brutal & unforgettable.
Trango Adventure staff, from pick up at Islamabad airport, to meeting senior management that are based in Skardu, to my fantastic team including guide, cook, mule and man porters all made the journey an unforgettable experience. The professionalism and skill of our little team guided the trek through rough, raw, challenging and often brutal landscapes seemlessly. Any expectation asa trekker in such remote conditions was met. An extended solo itinerary suited purpose in order to cushion both absorbing the trek experience with flexibility. Due to the notorious unpredictability weather of the region, reasoning was to allow for more preferable weather conditions for the viewing of K2, Broadpeak, G4 and G2 as well as to allow for favourable conditions in timing the Gondogoro La crossing. All worked out within the expended time thankfully. Above and beyond was the approach to safety and actual guidance in the crossing of the La. Rope-work practice on ascending and descending practice at Concordia ice-slopes before crossing being an example of such professionalism. Thank you Shihad, Bashir and all Trango staff.
